Goals of the meeting

The goal of this tutorial is to educate the attendees on advances in biology, diagnostic approaches and therapy of lymphoid malignancies. The scientific program takes participants through the diagnostic and clinical pathway with plenary lectures, interactively conducted clinical case study sessions and self-assessment sessions.

Learning objectives

After joining this tutorial, participants should be able to:

  • Review new insights into biology of lymphoid malignancies.
  • Execute adequate diagnostic work-out including evaluation of prognostic and predictive factors.
  • Review new targeted therapies introduced into lymphoid malignancies treatment, including monoclonal antibodies, B-cell receptor inhibitors, Bcl-2 antagonists, proteasome inhibitors, immunomodulatory drugs, histone deacetylase inhibitors: their mechanism of action, use in clinical practice, evaluation of the response to therapy, adverse events management and prophylaxis.
  • Know current indications to stem cell transplantation.

Target group

Hematologists and oncologists, residents in hematology and oncology.
