Congress

Since 1998 EHA has organized an annual scientific and educational congress. Each year it is held in a different European country and the number of participants has been increasing steadily, reaching 6,500 in 2006, 2007 and 2008.

The EHA congresses have become the most significant hematology meetings in Europe, offering presentations of the latest research, relevant both to basic scientists and clinical scientists, as well as state of the art education sessions for clinicians and hematologists in training. Oral presentations and poster sessions offer opportunities for investigators, especially junior scientists, to present their work.

The program will also include Clinical Trial Update, Hematology-in-Focus and Meet-the-Expert sessions, as well as Lunch Debates and EHA Scientific Working Group meetings. These activities have been established as part of the EHA congress program and are recognized by their high quality.

Our objective is to stimulate progress and to promote cooperation in hematology across Europe.
