Opening Ceremony, Fellowships Ceremony & José Carreras Award / Lecture

The President of EHA welcomes all participants to Amsterdam, and to another opportunity to share knowledge, research and to meet old and new friends.

The chair of the EHA Fellowships & Grants committee announces the winners of the EHA fellowships and honors those who receive a grant.

The José Carreras Award was established to honor leading figures in hematological research and will be presented to an established and active investigator who has made a large contribution to hematology. Every year the EHA Board awards this honor to, alternately, a basic scientist or clinician for his or her support to European Hematology, area of expertise, eligibility, gender and country of origin. The winner will give the José Carreras Lecture.

Presidential Symposium: Jean Bernard Lifetime Achievement Award & Best Abstracts

EHA will award for the 4th time the Jean Bernard Lifetime Achievement Award to honor an outstanding physician/scientist for the lifetime contribution to the advancement of hematology.

Followed by presentations of the by the authors of the best submitted abstracts.

Business meeting
