Education
The EHA Education Committee continues to work to foster both education and research in hematology across Europe. EHA offers excellent continuing medical education (CME) programs, meeting the needs of clinicians and researchers across Europe and beyond. World-leading hematologists have joined forces to compile a comprehensive educational program, covering all areas of hematology.
Educational events such as Scientific Workshops and Hematology Tutorials take place several times a year and attract participants from all over the globe.
Every EHA educational event to date has received outstanding evaluation by its participants.
At EHA, we constantly monitor trends in CME, (as well as accrediting events and facilitating credit claiming), and aim to improve the quality of our educational programs.
In our technologically-driven world, distance learning is becoming increasingly popular. EHA offers various distance learning tools, allowing hematologists to upgrade their knowledge at any time or location. One example of blending face-to-face with distance learning is Masterclass - online, case-based, peer-group learning for trainees.
In 2009 EHA launched its Outreach program, to deliver education in hematology to the areas with limited access to up-to-date developments. With the support of the Wallace Coulter Foundation, EHA organized educational activities in Israel, Lebanon, Russia, Turkey, India, Kuwait and Ukraine. Further activities are being planned in many other regions outside Europe.
