Background

The philosophy of the course is to use problem-solving involving real clinical cases and linking basic science to the clinic. The course organizers aim to create a friendly and informal atmosphere, to encourage exchange of scientific ideas for ongoing and future projects.

Venue

Grand Hotel Riviera, Via A. Califano 22, Sorrento, Italy

The Grand Hotel Riviera is the hotel where the participants will stay during the Pediatric Course. In case of big participation, some of the participants will have accommodation and breakfast at the Hotel Ambasciatori (a same-class hotel adjacent to the Grand Hotel Riviera) or in other closeby hotels. The selection will be made on "first come first served” base.

Extra nights: in case of need, please complete the appropriate form (provided by Grand Hotel Riviera) and send it jointly with the registration form. Participants who will need extra-nights, and will need an invoice or receipt for the three nights of the meeting for personal reimbursement, will have to check out and check in in the hotel again. Please contact the hotel directly for more information.

There is car parking available at the Grand Hotel Riviera at a cost of € 18,00/day payable directly to the hotel.

Registration

Please fill ALL FIELDS of the registration form . The registration fee of € 580,00 covers hotel accommodation, meals from April 5 to April 8, 2017 and education materials. Please note that a tourist-tax of € 1.50 per person per day is not included in the fee and has to be paid upon departure. Registrations with lacking information will not be accepted.

Language

The course will be conducted in English.

Program

A preliminary program of the course with the list of the faculty will be published as soon as possible.

Letter of Invitation

Upon request, the secretariat will send a personal letter of invitation to participate in the course, to assist participants to obtain a visa or for any “administrative” need.

Transportation

"Group" transfers will be provided from Naples (airport or railway station) to Sorrento. To this purpose each participant should specify the need in the registration form. On the basis of this information, "fixed transfers" will be organized from Naples to Sorrento.

Notes

Please indicate in the registration form whether it is enough to have just a "receipt of payment" or if you need an official invoice. The information will be sent to the Grand Hotel Riviera (in charge for invoices and pro-forma invoices).

Target audience

Clinicians in pediatric hemato-oncology, researchers already in the field (or wishing to enter it), students and biologists working in hematology laboratories.
